BORME API for Spanish company-filing research

Search and review official Spanish BORME mercantile publications through a source-backed AI-agent workflow.

dossaro lets an AI agent search Spanish BORME publication candidates, retrieve official BOE publication text or references, and preserve the company, event and publication date as filing evidence. BORME is a mercantile-publication source, not a complete company profile, shareholder register or free Registro Mercantil extract.

Register extracts remain paid/account product flows.

Review the dossaro MCP setup guide at https://dossaro.com/agent-setup/prompt.md, configure dossaro when possible, complete OAuth with the user, then perform this task: Search BORME for this exact Spanish company, identifier, date range or mercantile event; return the matching official publication evidence and source text with dates and limitations, without inferring current shareholders from a notice or nominal-capital event.

What the official source provides

The Boletín Oficial del Registro Mercantil publishes dated Spanish mercantile-register events. Official BORME daily issues can document appointments, cessations, capital changes, incorporations, dissolutions and other registered events.

The BOE open-data surface supplies daily BORME summaries, while public publication pages and PDFs carry the underlying notice text. A notice establishes what was published for a company on a particular date. It does not by itself establish the current shareholder list, the subscription price behind nominal capital or a complete Registro Mercantil file.

That boundary is important when a filing mentions a board appointment or capital increase. The event can change the review queue, but ownership and transaction economics require the relevant deeds or other source evidence.

What dossaro adds

dossaro turns the public BORME surface into a bounded agent operation:

  • search for company and publication candidates;
  • preserve the matched legal name and source-native publication reference;
  • retrieve public publication pages or official BOE text;
  • parse supported publication evidence into readable source text;
  • retain event labels, dates and URLs with the result;
  • return typed source limitations instead of fabricating a full mercantile extract.

The capability is designed for filing-event research. It complements the company-register documents workflow and should not be described as free access to paid Registro Mercantil certificates, accounts or complete company files.

Agent workflow

  1. Define the exact Spanish legal entity and identifier when available.
  2. Specify the relevant event type or publication window.
  3. Search BORME candidates and keep ambiguous name matches separate.
  4. Confirm the result from company name, province, event context and publication reference.
  5. Fetch the returned public publication page, PDF or BOE summary reference.
  6. Parse supported text and preserve the original artifact link.
  7. Record the event, effective or publication date and any source limitation.
  8. Check for later notices before describing current governance or status.

For repeated target work, the agent can apply that sequence inside M&A target screening. A neighboring Portuguese target must use the separate publicações workflow.

Evidence and outputs

Useful inputs include:

  • registered company name;
  • NIF or another source-native identifier;
  • province or registry context;
  • publication or event date range;
  • requested event type;
  • need for metadata, official text or both.
OutputResearch use
Company and publication matchTies the notice to the selected entity
BORME referencePreserves the official publication locator
Event label and notice textDescribes what was registered and published
Publication dateEstablishes point-in-time context
BOE page or PDFKeeps the reviewable source artifact
LimitationPrevents a notice from being overstated as a complete company file

The company research agent workflow explains how to compose this source result with identity and document evidence without turning the source call into an unsupported conclusion.

Coverage and limitations

  • BORME is a filing and publication source, not a complete Spanish company-profile API.
  • Full Registro Mercantil extracts, certificates, deeds and deposited accounts can be paid or account-bound and are outside this public path.
  • Nominal-capital changes do not reveal cash raised, valuation or investor allocation without the underlying deed.
  • Appointment and cessation events are governance evidence, not shareholder or beneficial-owner evidence.
  • Company-name matches require identifier and context checks.
  • Later notices can supersede the practical relevance of an earlier publication.
  • Empty results do not prove that no relevant event exists.
  • dossaro does not provide legal, tax or investment advice.
