Direct answer
A company profile is not the same as the underlying register evidence. Due diligence often requires the filed document, its date and the official source reference: a shareholder list, extract, accounts filing, articles, notice or other register artifact.
dossaro provides a document-first workflow across supported sources. It resolves the entity, lists document references and parses readable content where allowed. The calling agent decides which evidence answers the assignment.
Recommended workflow
- Resolve the correct legal entity before requesting documents.
- Define the evidence question: ownership, governance, financial publication, insolvency or another filing event.
- List documents for the resolved entity.
- Select returned document references rather than reconstructing source-native URLs or IDs.
- Parse only supported, readable artifacts.
- Preserve the original source link, document type and date.
- Report paid, blocked, unavailable or unreadable documents separately.
The German Handelsregister workflow illustrates why listing and parsing shareholder evidence must be separate steps.
Inputs and outputs
Useful inputs:
- company name and register identifier;
- country and legal form;
- requested document or evidence type;
- relevant date range;
- whether original text, metadata or both are required.
Expected outputs:
| Output | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Entity reference | Binds document research to the selected company |
| Document index | Shows the candidate register artifacts |
| Stable document reference | Supports safe follow-up parsing |
| Filing date and type | Establishes evidence context |
| Parsed text or tables | Helps the agent review readable material |
| Source URL and limitations | Keeps the result auditable |

Jurisdiction differences
- Germany can expose document trees containing shareholder lists and other filed artifacts.
- Poland combines extract evidence with KRS/RAR/RDF document paths.
- Companies House provides filing-history records and document links with UK-specific categories.
- Other jurisdictions may expose metadata without free document retrieval, or require paid/account-bound access.
The Research MCP reference maintains the current source and tool limitations.
Review limitations
- A listed document may not be publicly retrievable.
- A retrievable PDF may still require OCR or manual review.
- Parsed text can lose visual structure, stamps, signatures or table relationships.
- The latest available document is not necessarily the latest real-world event.
- A document proves what was filed; legal effect and current accuracy may require additional analysis.
- dossaro does not fabricate a replacement document when the source is blocked or unavailable.
