Belgium CBE API for company and publication research

Resolve Belgian companies and review CBE, Moniteur and NBB evidence through a source-backed AI-agent workflow.

dossaro lets an AI agent resolve a Belgian company through CBE public records, review public officer and establishment evidence, follow Belgian Moniteur publication references, and retrieve supported NBB annual-account artifacts. These records support company and document research; they do not expose complete shareholder or beneficial-owner data.

Install-and-run prompt
Review the dossaro MCP setup guide at https://dossaro.com/agent-setup/prompt.md, configure dossaro when possible, complete OAuth with the user, then perform this task: Resolve this exact Belgian company by enterprise number or name, retrieve the strongest public CBE profile, officer, establishment, Moniteur and NBB document evidence, cite returned dates and sources, and do not reinterpret public functions or publications as shareholder or beneficial-owner proof.

What the official source provides

Belgium's Crossroads Bank for Enterprises Public Search provides legal-entity and establishment information keyed to the enterprise number. Public detail can include status, names, address, legal form, establishment units, activities and function holders.

Related official surfaces answer different evidence questions. The Belgian Moniteur publishes legal-person notices, while the National Bank of Belgium exposes deposited annual-account artifacts. A CBE function holder, a Moniteur event and an NBB account are separate records and should remain separate in the conclusion.

True shareholder and beneficial-owner information is not an open output of this workflow. A public role or establishment record does not establish ownership.

What dossaro adds

dossaro connects the public Belgian evidence path for an AI agent:

  • resolve a company by enterprise number or name;
  • retrieve public CBE profile and establishment-unit context;
  • normalize public function-holder evidence as officer or role data;
  • preserve Belgian Moniteur publication references;
  • list supported NBB deposit, PDF and XBRL document references;
  • fetch supported public annual-account artifacts;
  • return explicit source and access limitations.

The result is a source-backed research package rather than a generic company-database row. The company-register documents workflow explains how to review the returned publications and accounts.

Agent workflow

  1. Start with the enterprise number when available.
  2. Search CBE and confirm the exact legal entity.
  3. Retrieve profile, status, legal form and address evidence.
  4. Inspect public function holders and establishment units only when relevant.
  5. Follow returned Moniteur, NBB or notarial references rather than reconstructing URLs.
  6. Fetch or parse a supported NBB account artifact when needed.
  7. Record source, publication or deposit date and access state.
  8. Keep officer, establishment, filing and ownership questions distinct.

For a cross-border list, the same disciplined output can sit beside French RNE evidence. The company research agent workflow provides the composition pattern.

Evidence and outputs

Useful inputs include:

  • Belgian enterprise number;
  • registered name;
  • expected establishment or activity;
  • relevant publication or accounts period;
  • requested profile, officer, establishment or document evidence.
OutputResearch use
Resolved CBE entityBinds research to the correct enterprise number
Profile and status fieldsEstablishes public legal-entity context
Public function holdersProvides source-labeled role evidence
Establishment and activity rowsShows public operating-unit context
Moniteur or NBB referencePreserves the official publication or deposit trail
LimitationSeparates unavailable, metadata-only and unsupported evidence

For ownership questions, continue with how to find private-company owners and retain the fact that CBE functions are not shareholder records.

Coverage and limitations

  • CBE Public Search is company and establishment evidence, not a complete ownership database.
  • Public function holders do not automatically represent directors in every legal sense, shareholders or beneficial owners.
  • Moniteur publications are dated events and can be superseded by later notices.
  • NBB deposits and annual accounts do not identify every ownership change.
  • Notarial or statutes links can be exposed as references without guaranteeing parsed content.
  • Paid or restricted CBE services are outside this public workflow.
  • Empty results do not prove that a company, filing or ownership fact does not exist.
  • dossaro provides evidence retrieval and limitations, not legal, accounting or investment advice.
