GEMI API for Greek company and document research

Connect Greek GEMI company profiles, management roles and public documents to a source-backed AI-agent workflow.

dossaro lets an AI agent search the official Greek GEMI publicity backend, resolve a company, retrieve its public profile and management or representation roles, and list or parse public decisions, statutes and modification documents. These roles and documents are source evidence, not a shareholder or beneficial-owner conclusion.

Install-and-run prompt
Review the dossaro MCP setup guide at https://dossaro.com/agent-setup/prompt.md, configure dossaro when possible, complete OAuth with the user, then perform this task: Resolve this Greek company in GEMI, collect the official public profile, management and representation roles, and the relevant public decisions, statutes or modification documents; preserve the GEMI number and source references and do not infer shareholders or beneficial owners from role rows.

What the official source provides

Greece's General Commercial Registry, commonly called GEMI, provides a publicity portal for registered-company information. The public backend can expose company identity, legal form, status and capital fields alongside management or representation rows and dated publication material.

Depending on the company record, public documents can include authority decisions, modifications, statutes, other GEMI announcements and downloadable PDF artifacts. The Greek business portal also explains its publicity services.

GEMI's public roles answer who is recorded as managing or representing the company. They do not, by themselves, answer who owns the shares or qualifies as a beneficial owner. Ownership research must use the jurisdiction's actual ownership evidence, as explained in how to find private-company owners.

What dossaro adds

dossaro exposes GEMI through the same agent-oriented company and document workflow used across supported registers. An agent can:

  • search by legal name or known GEMI number;
  • resolve the exact company and retain its source-native identifier;
  • retrieve the public company profile;
  • normalize management and representation rows as source-labeled roles;
  • list public decision, modification, authority, statute and other document references;
  • fetch and parse a returned public PDF through the shared document path;
  • report paid, authenticated or unavailable artifacts as limitations.

The result is a reviewable evidence package, not a generated cap table. dossaro keeps management, representation, ownership and beneficial ownership as separate concepts.

For multi-company work, combine the source calls with the M&A target-screening workflow so unresolved entities and missing documents remain visible in the review queue.

Agent workflow

  1. Start with the exact legal name or GEMI number.
  2. Search the public GEMI backend and compare name, legal form, status and location.
  3. Retain the resolved GEMI number for every later call.
  4. Retrieve the public profile and source-labeled management or representation roles.
  5. Define the document question: statute, modification, authority decision or another publication.
  6. List documents before selecting a returned reference.
  7. Fetch or parse only the public document reference supplied by GEMI.
  8. Record dates, source URLs and limitations, keeping role evidence separate from ownership claims.

The document steps follow the same safe pattern described in company-register document research: list first, use the returned reference, then review the parsed output against the original artifact.

Evidence and outputs

Useful inputs:

  • exact Greek legal name;
  • GEMI number when known;
  • legal form or location for disambiguation;
  • requested profile, role or document surface;
  • relevant date or event.
OutputResearch use
GEMI number and legal identityResolves the exact Greek company
Public profileProvides source-backed status, form and available company fields
Management or representation rowsShows recorded roles without turning them into ownership
Document referencesIdentifies public decisions, modifications, statutes and other artifacts
Parsed public PDFSupports review of readable official material
LimitationFlags paid, account-bound, unavailable or unsupported evidence

For a cross-border filing trail, a GEMI document can be combined with a French BODACC commercial announcement while each source retains its own evidentiary meaning.

Coverage and limitations

  • Management and representation roles are not shareholder or beneficial-owner evidence.
  • The audited public backend does not support a general public shareholder or UBO conclusion.
  • Public decisions, statutes and modification PDFs are available only when GEMI marks and exposes the file publicly.
  • Certified extracts, copies, password products and checkout-bound services are outside the public-free workflow.
  • Financial-statement metadata does not guarantee a public downloadable financial file.
  • A company-name search can be ambiguous; preserve and use the GEMI number.
  • dossaro provides source-backed research tooling, not official Greek register or legal advice.
